Know Your Rights: Protections From Discrimination in Sexual, Reproductive, and Transgender Health Care
The National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum has partnered with our friends at the National Health Law Program to create “Know Your Rights” fact sheets about Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. Section 1557 outlines protections against discrimination in sexual, reproductive, and gender-affirming care. The fact sheet is available in nine languages: English, Hindi, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Tongan, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
We are pleased to offer our state and local advocacy partners template versions of this community facing fact sheet (in the same nine languages) upon request. The template versions allow advocates to add their own branding, contact information for the legal services organizations serving their communities, and other state-specific information and resources. The templates also include in-text URLs so that advocates can print and hand the fact sheets out at community events. Please contact morcelle@healthlaw.org to request access to the template versions.
