Shay (pronouns: she/her/hers) is a HR & Operations executive with over 12 years experience supporting non-profit organizations, technology companies, and start-ups/small businesses. She is extremely motivated by opportunities that allow her to build and shape a better society and country for her siblings and future kids. 

Before joining NAPAWF, Shay operated in roles like Global Head of People where she was tasked with building a HR department and team from scratch, roles like Chief of Staff of HR & Operations where she owned and operated all things HR while also supporting the CEO in daily operations and long term operations projects, roles like Chief of Talent Acquisition where she had the privilege to lead private executive searches for different government nonprofits and businesses, and high level consulting projects where she implemented HR & Ops systems and processes for numerous businesses. 

Shay has served on the board of directors for a few non-profit organizations focused on empowering women & girls who struggle with systematic racism and other minority blockers and disparities, and continues to volunteer and donate to The Choose True Project.

Shay was born in Columbia, SC and is the oldest of 4 children (2 sisters and a brother). She attended the University of South Carolina for her undergraduate studies (Go Cocks!), and spent a few years in Charlotte, NC working full time after college while simultaneously pursuing her MBA with a concentration in HR management from Winthrop University. Post MBA graduation, Shay relocated to Atlanta, GA. Shay and her husband are still Atlanta residents and enjoy traveling the world, spending time with their friends and family, and trying new foods.
