Joy Pettigrew (she/her) is a passionate movement builder, speaker, and community advocate based in Chicago. As the Strategic Partnerships Manager at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF), Joy is dedicated to advancing gender justice within the AAPI community. She leads NAPAWF’s AAPI Gender Justice Collaborative, working with eight AAPI women-led organizations to address reproductive justice issues in the AANHPI community.

Before joining NAPAWF, Joy worked with a faith-based nonprofit, developing college students in identity, faith, and leadership. She currently leads learning cohorts for AAPI women on liberation and self-trust and has moderated forums on AAPI racial identity, Christianity, and politics.

Originally from Hong Kong and a proud Chinese-Malaysian American, she holds undergraduate degrees in Education and Sociology. In her free time, Joy enjoys cooking, baking, and refinishing and upcycling furniture. She is a founding member of the Chicago chapter of the Coalition of Asian American Pacific Islander Churches (CAAPIC) and is committed to empowering AAPI women and fostering civic engagement.
