Virginia Lucy
Communications Director
Virginia Lucy (she/her) is a purpose-driven communications leader. Her multi-faceted background and commitment to empowering AAPI communities drives her both personally and professionally.
Virginia brings more than 15 years of experience working in communications, public policy, and government relations to her role at NAPAWF. In her role as Communications Director, she uplifts the stories and lived experiences of AAPI women and girls across the country, grows NAPAWF’s reputation and media presence, and leads and executes its communications strategy.
Prior to her role with NAPAWF, Virginia was Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Department of Banking & Securities where she drove the state agency’s public relations program, including media relations, marketing, social media strategy, and executive communications. She also served as policy director at the Pennsylvania Coalition for Domestic Violence, developing a bipartisan advocacy agenda centered around creating a world that supports all Pennsylvanians in the human right to live healthy, stable, and rewarding lives free from violence and oppression.
Virginia is a proud multiracial Korean American who is an active part of the Asian American community in central Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and earned her BA from the University of Virginia in English and Anthropology. Virginia is an avid reader and writer who loves sharing stories with friends over a delicious meal and spending time at home with her husband, son, cat Birdie and dog Templeton.
