Washington, D.C. — Today, the United States Senate confirmed Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Jackson will serve as the first Black woman Supreme Court Justice.

“NAPAWF is thrilled to celebrate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation to the highest court in the land. She is an exceptional jurist with a breadth of experience and a demonstrated pattern of excellence over the course of her accomplished career. Judge Jackson’s historical confirmation is a meaningful step to ensuring that the highest court in the land is closer to reflecting the diversity of our country. We applaud President Biden for this historical confirmation.”
