CHICAGO & NEW YORK – The National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) announces two new senior level appointments, Angelie Singla as Chief Development Officer and Kristina Doan as Chief Field Officer. “We are thrilled to welcome Angelie and Kristina to our executive leadership team,” said Sung Yeon Choimorrow, Executive Director of NAPAWF. “The experience and demonstrated leadership of these women will  strengthen our work to build a safer community for AAPI women and girls.”

Angelie Singla, Chief Development Officer 

Angelie Singla, LMSW (she/her), a first-generation Indian American, has extensive fundraising experience in the areas of public health, youth development, and healthcare. Most recently, she was Director of Corporate, Foundation & Government Relations at Mount Sinai South Nassau, where she secured and managed a $25M portfolio. Her prior roles include serving as Vice President of Philanthropy at Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and Assistant Director of Program and Resource Development at the Fund for Public Health in New York. 

Angelie is a lecturer at Columbia University’s School of Social Work and an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. Currently, she is Co-Chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ NYC Chapter. She earned a MSW from Columbia University and a BA from Pace University. Angelie lives in New York with her family.

Kristina Doan, Chief Field Officer 

Kristina Doan (she/her) is a community leader, advocate, and social changemaker. She is a second generation Vietnamese American who is passionate and committed to building equitable, resilient and thriving communities. 

She previously served as the Director of Public Policy at CAPI USA and worked to help Minnesota’s newest refugees, immigrants, and people of color gain access to basic needs, employment, and connect civically in order to promote economic independence, self determination and social equality.  She also led civic engagement work integrating voter engagement at the agency and through a non-partisan campaign to reach Minnesota’s AAPI communities through outreach, canvass, and phonebank efforts. 

Kristina’s previous roles include serving as a program evaluator for the Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor, a consultant for local county and state government at MAXIMUS Inc., and a paralegal at Crowell and Moring LLP in Washington D.C. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Macalester College, and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Kristina lives in the Twin Cities with her partner and kitten named Tofte.
