WASHINGTON, D.C. – Four years ago, the Supreme Court overturned Roe, giving politicians a green light to insert themselves into exam rooms and dictate decisions that should remain solely between a pregnant person and their doctor.

The consequences have been devastating, forcing patients to navigate a maze of bans, restrictions, and uncertainty just to access basic care. For many in our communities, Dobbs made an already unequal system even harder to navigate.

We cannot allow this dangerous reality to become normalized. NAPAWF polling shows Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women know their rights aren’t real if they change when they cross a state border.

Congress must meet this moment with urgency and keep fighting until everyone can access the care they need, no matter where they live.

The National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) is the only multi-issue, community organizing and policy advocacy organization for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women and girls in the U.S. NAPAWF’s mission is to build collective power so that all AAPI women and girls can have full agency over our lives, our families, and our communities.
