What We Need from the Next President
AAPI Women & Girls’ Priorities for the First 100 Days
The National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) is the only national, multi-issue Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women’s organization in the country. NAPAWF’s mission is to build a movement to advance social justice and human rights for AAPI women and girls. To accomplish this, NAPAWF has a vast network of chapters across the country with three policy areas of focus: economic justice, immigrant rights, and reproductive justice.
Based on NAPAWF’s advocacy in these policy areas, we propose the following presidential actions for the first 100 days to promote the rights and well-being of AAPI women and girls.
Special thanks to the contributors to this 100 Day Presidential Agenda. Another special thanks to the three dozen NAPAWF leaders who gathered in Washington, DC before the White House United State of Women Summit to craft what we see are the most important policy items we want the next President to prioritize.
