About: The Hutchins Consort presents a Celebration of International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women around the world. The Hutchins Consort celebrates this day by featuring the music of some of our most revered women composers in a program dedicated to American Luthier, Dr. Carleen Hutchins, the woman who designed and built the unique octet of instruments which they perform on. This program offers a fascinating spectrum of the musical influences of women composers throughout history.
